That’s the beauty of the immediacy of digital photography. We’re able to record anything anywhere at the push of a button. Who cares about perfect detail and exposure when we’re made to realize life itself is a so much greater gift than the many daily nuisances that keep us preoccupied with nonsense and follies.
A simple video, likely shot with a phone, from nurse Sonia Rochel of Clinique de la Muette in Paris shows her giving newborn twins a relaxing “spa bath.”
Massaging the babies in water is to mimic life inside the womb — known as Thalasso Bain Bébé Jumeaux in French.
So tender and gentle, I wonder if the video would be more impressive shot with a pro video camera.
It’s for these unique moments in time that we have photography — as the only known tool to stop and relive time.
