At the Photo Flea Market

Film’s never gonna be dead. What nicer than a camera garage sale, and not just any camera garage sale, but one where the newest gear is the occasional digital Olympus Pen. Vintage retro and film cameras as far as the eye can see, that’s the photographer’s delight that just took place at the Foto-Flohmarkt in Weinfelden, Switzerland, where I happened to pass through the other day.

Totally dedicated folks selling collector’s and other precious items. Tons of Leitz and legacy gear, and boy Minolta was popular once… Well it’s a photography aficionado’s wet dream come true. At hardly resistible prices. Saw a perfectly well functioning Rollei 35, probably the best 35mm pocket camera ever made, in mint condition for $30…

Or how about a Leica M6 TTL in no less mint condition? Only a few shutter actuations… See the image below. It’s the special edition with brown leatherette. If interested I could still get my hands on it for a good price, just let me know.

Still, didn’t feel too excluded with my pseudo retro Nikon. All shots straight out of the Df with Zeiss 28/2.

Nothing, really nothing is new at the photo flea market, but what's sold is in perfect working condition.
