Noisy, blurred, white balance off and neither properly focused nor framed, but who cares! All that star power quickly became the most retweeted post ever on Twitter. Within half an hour more than 1.1 million retweets and counting… The photo actually crushed Twitter.

The moral of the story? It’s the decisive moment in action. Right place, right time, and any camera will do. Or as Ellen DeGeneres tweeted, “If only Bradley’s arm was longer. Best photo ever. #oscars”
