Fujifilm Updates 2014/2015 XF Lens Roadmap

With the unveiling of the fast lovely looking XF 56mm F1.2 R portrait lens for X mount Fujifilm introduced its updated XF lens roadmap for 2014 and 2015. Altogether this brings the number of lenses for the X series to 17.

Oh, and Fujifilm announced a black X100S ($1,299) and the up to 100x superzoom with 5-axis stabilization FinePix S1 ($499) — a kind of Sony RX10 competitor…

Throughout 2014 and early 2015 expect these releases:

  1. A bright XF 16-55mm F2.8 R OIS standard zoom
  2. A bright XF 50-140mm F2.8 R OIS telephoto zoom
  3. A high magnification XF 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 R OIS zoom
  4. A super telephoto zoom (focal length and aperture TBC)
  5. A high speed wide angle prime lens (focal length and aperture TBC)
